Murals of La Jolla Book Launch - 2026

The Murals of La Jolla 2010–2025 Book Launch took place on May 13 at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla.

The evening celebrated the release of Murals of La Jolla’s new publication, which documents the project’s first fifteen years and the fifty murals commissioned between 2010 and 2025. Bringing together artists, donors, property owners, supporters, and friends of the project, the event marked a significant milestone in the history of Murals of La Jolla and its ongoing contribution to contemporary public art.

Guests enjoyed live music, catering by Giuseppe Fine Catering, and remarks from Executive Director Taylor Chapin, founding Executive Director Lynda Forsha, and founding Arts Advisory Committee Chair Matt Browar. Their reflections highlighted the vision, partnerships, and community support that have shaped the project over the past decade and a half.

The evening was a joyful celebration of the artists, artworks, and collaborators who have helped transform La Jolla’s public spaces through art, commemorating the project's first fifteen years and the remarkable community that made it possible.
