Murals of La Jolla hosted its Annual Parking Lot Party on Sunday, October 2. It was held at the site of the newest mural, Resurgence, by Chitra Ganesh, who was in attendance that evening to discuss the mural with her fellow mural artists and donors to the project. The event was catered by the new Flower Pot Café, which is adjacent to the mural site, and offered a synergistic blend of tasty tacos, house-made kombucha, and a casual setting.
Emily Afton and her fellow musicians provided the perfect vocals to set the tone for the relaxed party atmosphere. Lynda Forsha, Executive Director of Murals of La Jolla, welcomed artists, donors, friends of the project, and property owners to the annual celebration, which is a thank you to all who make it possible.
